... " PHOENIX - Literacy Volunteers of Maricopa County is seeking tutors to
teach adults reading and English as a second language.
Tutors must be 18 or older and have a high school diploma or GED and be willing
to commit to meeting with a student approximately four hours per week for nine
months.
Tutors are paired with students by geographic proximity and can also volunteer
in one of three centers.
The next tutor orientation will be Jan. 13 from 10 a.m. to noon at LVMC, 1500 E.
Thomas Road.
