The trade publication Education Week shows that 70 percent of Arizona's Class of 2003 graduated in four years, the same as the national average. In its 2003-04 state report card, Arizona calculated the rate to be 74 percent.
Arizona's 2005-06 report card included data from two independent reports that showed the Class of 2003 graduation rate at 70 percent to 71 percent.
Education Week showed Arizona lost fewer freshman students than the national average, but more dropped out when they were seniors.
